Convention & Visitors Bureau?
The Flint Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (FACVB) is the Official Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) or Tourism Agency for Flint & Genesee County. We are a private, non-profit organization, with membership and an elected Board of Directors. Our professional staff works to attract sporting, meeting, and convention groups, reunions, weddings, group tours, and individual tourists to Flint & Genesee County and increase overnight stays in Genesee County hotels & motels.
Why focus on increasing overnight stays? People who stay overnight spend money on accommodations, AND on dining, shopping, attractions, and more while they are in the area. When hospitality-based businesses have increased sales, these dollars trickle down to suppliers and service providers, and more, and benefits our local economy. Tourism enhances our quality of life with new jobs, increases tax dollars that improve our services and infrastructure, and attracts facilities that cater to visitors and locals alike, such as new shops, restaurants, cultural and sporting venues, and more.
As a member, you receive exclusive opportunities to market and promote your business to tourists, travelers, incoming groups AND other FACVB members (over 300 and growing) and area residents!
